Founded in 2011 by Bob and Patty Wexler, PLW CPA PLLC was created to offer professional accounting, tax and advisory services provided by our highly knowledgeable and experienced team. As a family-owned firm in Sterling Heights, our mission is to earn trust through integrity, expertise, and lasting relationships.
Robert Wexler
Certified Public Accountant
Bob co-founded PLW CPA PLLC in 2011, bringing with him over 25 years of rich experience in accounting, taxation and general business knowledge to each professional engagement. Before establishing PLW, he gathered valuable expertise across various facets of public accounting—including tax, audit, and business valuation—while working with leading local firms in Metro Detroit. Furthermore, Bob has held impactful positions in the private sector, serving as a Chief Financial Officer and as an internal auditor at a major commercial bank. His extensive business knowledge enables him to provide clients with exceptional proficiency that extends well beyond mere tax return and financial statement preparation.

Patricia Wexler
Certified Public Accountant
Patty co-founded PLW CPA PLLC in 2011, launching her career in public accounting in 2000. She oversees our accounting and bookkeeping services, collaborating with business clients to ensure their financial records are accurate and that timely financial reports are provided to owners, management, and third parties. With extensive experience across businesses of various sizes and industries, Patty has participated in numerous audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements in sectors including service, retail, wholesale, not-for-profit, and manufacturing while working at leading CPA firms in metro Detroit.
Before rejoining PLW CPA in 2016 amidst our rapid expansion, Patty held the position of Global Director of Accounting and Compliance for a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier based in Troy, MI. In that role, she served as the company's primary liaison for all accounting and audit-related matters both domestically and internationally, covering locations such as China, Austria, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
